Inter Milan are currently leading the Big Five European Leagues when it comes to away record in domestic leagues.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via FcInterNews) reveals that no other club in Europe’s top leagues has managed to equal the Nerazzurri’s away tally thus far this season.

Simone Inzaghi’s men have collected 26 points on the road from a possible 30. They only dropped points in 1-1 draws against Juventus in Turin and Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium. They remain undefeated in their travels.

Curiously, the Benamata have earned more points away from home (26) than at the Giuseppe Meazza (25). Inter won eight Serie A fixtures in front of their home supporters, while settling for a 2-2 draw against Bologna and suffering their lone defeat of the season at the hands of Sassuolo.

Therefore, Inter’s away record can serve as a morale booster ahead of their upcoming travels. Inzaghi’s side faces two tough challenges on the road, first against Fiorentina this Sunday, and then AS Roma a couple of weeks later.

And more importantly, a crucial Derby d’Italia awaits them in between their two aforementioned away fixtures.

The Nerazzurri will lock horns with Juventus at San Siro in a direct Scudetto showdown.

Inter Milan Boast The Best Away Record In Europe’s Top Five Leagues

Inter have been leading the Serie A standings since the start of the season. However, the Old Lady seized the top spot while the Beneamata were taking part in the Italian Super Cup held in Riyadh.

The Bianconeri are currently ahead of Inter in the race, albeit after playing an extra match.

This is poised to be a razor-tight Scudetto race, but Inter will be looking to bank in on their superb away form to get the edge over their arch-rivals.
