Leicester City and Inter Milan will finally seal the transfer of midfielder Stefano Sensi to join the Championship club today.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews. The outlet reports that the move will be an initial paid loan containing a conditional purchase obligation.

Inter and Leicester have been in negotiations regarding a transfer of Sensi for much of January.

But to date, the two clubs have yet to get the deal over the line.

Sensi has remained a Nerazzurri player, and has not yet travelled to England to complete a move.

Inter were in Saudi Arabia for the Supercoppa Italiana last week. Meanwhile, with suspensions in midfield, the former Sassuolo midfielder was in the Nerazzurri’s squad against Fiorentina yesterday.

But according to FCIN, today will be the day that Inter and Leicester and Inter hold the final round of talks.

The two clubs will iron out the last details. And then Sensi can travel to Leicester to complete his medicals and sign his contract.

Leicester & Inter To Wrap Up Stefano Sensi Deal Today

According to FCIN, Inter and Leicester are in fact ready to agree an initial paid loan deal for Sensi.

The 28-year-old Italian international will join the Foxes on an initial six-month loan deal until the end of the current season.

Inter will receive a loan fee of around €500,000 for this.

Then, in the event that Leicester win promotion to the Premier League, this will trigger a purchase obligation.

The Foxes would then pay Inter a fee of €2 million to sign Sensi on a permanent basis.

Given that Leicester are currently flying high at the top of the Championship table, this would appear to be quite likely.

Therefore, it is now really only a matter of time. Sensi will end his four and a half years under contract with Inter and have his first experience in English football.
