Legendary former Nerazzurri wingback Andreas Brehme feels that Inter Milan can “kill off” the Serie A title race by beating Juventus.
The German spoke to Italian news outlet L’Interista ahead of next weekend’s Serie A match against the Bianconeri.
Inter face off with Juventus in one of the biggest Derby d’Italia matches in recent memory next Sunday.
That match will see the top two teams in the Serie A table go up against each other.
And Inter have a slender advantage going into it. The Nerazzurri are one point ahead of the Bianconeri.
But Inter also have a game in hand. Therefore, they could extend their lead further by beating Atalanta at the end of next month.
So a victory on Sunday could really allow Inter to finally feel like they have some distance from their great rivals in the title race.

Asked if Inter can “kill off” the Serie A title race next Sunday, Brehme replied “Definitely.”
“And I think it’s the perfect moment to host Juventus at the San Siro,” he continued.
Brehme argued that “Simone Inzaghi’s team is playing very well this season.”
“And in most matches the style of play is not only attractive, but efficient and successful.”
And the German, known for his accurate crosses during his playing days, was asked how he thinks it would be to play alongside current Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez.
“The duo of Lauti and Andy would take Serie A by storm,” he said with a laugh.
“I honestly can’t wait to see him play for Inter each week,” Brehme added of Martinez.
“I’m a really big fan of him,” he said of the captain.
Inter take on Juventus next Sunday evening at 20.45 CET at the San Siro.
