Inter Milan are already building their attack for the 2024-25 season, with Mehdi Taremi and Valentin Carboni reinforcing the options.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

This season, Inter’s attacking options consist of Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, Marko Arnautovic, and Alexis Sanchez.

The former pair constitute the starting strike partnership, And then the latter are the backup options.

So far this season, former Premier League veterans Arnautovic and Sanchez have not really managed to cement much of a place for themselves or make an impact apart from a few matches.

On the other hand, Martinez and Thuram have been in blazing form.

For next season, Inter’s intention is to keep that duo as the starting pair. But then, the club will change things up in terms of the attacking depth,

Inter Aiming To Strengthen Attack With Taremi & Carboni

Arnautovic will, in all likelihood, stay at Inter next season.

And then Sanchez, whose contract with the Nerazzurri runs out at the end of June, will depart during the summer barring any surprises.

And Inter have a clear idea of who will come in to play behind Martinez and Thuram next season.

Porto and Iran striker Taremi will be the big name signing.

Inter have everything in place to sign the 31-year-old on a free transfer when his contract with Porto expires.

The Nerazzurri have already submitted the official documents informing Porto of their agreement with Taremi and his representatives.

So the next step will be to set up the medicals and then pre-contract signing.

The Nerazzurri are hoping that the Iranian will offer a little more strength in depth than either Arnautovic and Sanchez have this season.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Carboni has been shining at Monza in recent weeks.

When the Argentine returns from his loan Inter have every intention of giving him a chance in the first team.

There is plenty of transfer interest in Carboni. But the Nerazzurri see him as part of their future plans – maybe even as early as next season.
