Inter Milan’s squad are back in training today ahead of this weekend’s massive Serie A match against Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter faced off against Fiorentina this past Sunday in Serie A.

The Nerazzurri secured a vital 1-0 win at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. It was a hard-fought match which saw the players give everything and put their bodies on the line to see out the clean sheet and the result.

And Inter’s squad have had the luxury of a full week between that match against La Viola and their next fixture.

And the next match happens to be the Derby d’Italia against Juventus.

Considering just one points separates the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri in the Serie A table, that match will certainly be a hugely significant one.

A fixture which is always one of the showpiece occasions of Italian football also has the air of a potential title-decider.

Inter Return To Training Ahead Of Serie A Showdown Vs Juventus

Naturally, the preparations for Sunday’s match have been paramount.

Unlike his Juventus counterpart Max Allegri, Inter coach does not always have a full week to prepare for matches.

But with such a luxury, the coach has given his squad a couple days of rest.

The Nerazzurri players did not train on either Monday or yesterday. They were granted the time off to recovery from the match against Fiorentina.

Now, the hope is, the Inter players will return to training fresh.

The coming days’ training will be vital for the Nerazzurri to be at their best physically, mentally, technically, and tactically for Sunday’s match.

Meanwhile, the Corriere note, two players who did not have yesterday off were Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu.

The two regular starters in midfield played no part at the Franchi, due to suspension.

Therefore, Barella and Calhanoglu worked individually on their fitness yesterday.

And the two midfielders join the rest of the squad for training today.
