Inter Milan goalkeeper Andrei Radu has not moved to Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab after his transfer fell through.

This according to Romanian journalist Emanuel Rosu, who revealed on his Twitter account that an issue with the 26-year-old’s work permit prevented him from joining the Saudi team.

Radu had looked all set to join Al-Shabab on loan for the rest of the season.

The Romanian international has been at Bournemouth for the first half of the season.

However, playing time has proven hard to come by for Radu on the English South Coast. Therefore, he has been in search of a new club for the remainder of the campaign.

Former Juventus, Fiorentina, and Barcelona veteran Neto has remained the first-choice keeper for the Cherries.

And Saudi Pro League team Al-Shabab had come forward.

The Middle Eastern club had aimed to sign Radu before the January transfer window. However, they have failed to do so.

Romanian journalist Rosu reports that everything had looked to be in place for Radu to join Al-Shabab.

All of the documents were signed and in order as far as the six-month loan from Inter.

However, the problem came when Radu and Al-Shabab attempted to obtain a work permit for the period.

A delay in that process meant that Radu was unable to complete the move to Al-Shabab in time to meet the transfer deadline for the Saudi Pro League.

Rosu notes that the transfer window for the Saudi top flight closed yesterday.

Therefore, Radu will stay at Bournemouth for the remainder of the season.

Last season, Radu has spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Cremonese.

Then, after his playing time at the Lombard club diminished, the Romanian joined Ligue 1 team Auxerre for the second half of the campaign.
