Inter Milan’s defense will be hoping to keep the “San Siro taboo” of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic alive this evening.’

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

This season, Juventus have hardly been reliant on one single player for goals.

Juventus ability to score in many different ways from midfielders, defenders, and wingbacks, has been key to their league success.

But over the past month or so, there has been one man that Juventus have looked to above all.

Vlahovic has been the deciding factor in the Bianconeri’s recent run.

The Serbian international has gained some ground on Inter’s on-fire captain Lautaro Martinez in the race for Serie A top scorer.

Vlahovic’s time at Juventus hasn’t always met expectations in terms of goals. But since the turn of the year, the 24-year-old has had perhaps his best run of form.

Inter Aim To Shackle Dusan Vlahovic & Keep “San Siro Taboo” Going

If there is a time for Inter to fear Vlahovic, it would certainly be now.

And from the Serb’s perspective, there would be a particular significance to finding the back of the net in this evening’s match.

Vlahovic has played at the San Siro seven times since his arrival in Italian football with Fiorentina.

Facing both Inter and AC Milan at one of Italian football’s iconic stadiums, Vlahovic has yet to get on the scoresheet.

In a career that has already seen Vlahovic become one of Serie A’s outstanding goalscorers of the past few years, this certainly looks like a “taboo” for the Juventus Number Nine.

So for Vlahovic, there would be a bit of extra personal motivation to score. Not that he needs any, given what is at stake in tonight’s Derby d’Italia.

And conversely, for the Nerazzurri defense, if they can keep the Bianconeri talisman quiet, there would be all the more satisfaction.
