Inter Milan will start with the same lineup against Roma as they did in their Derby d’Italia win over Juventus last weekend.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Sooner or later, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will certainly have to start rotating his squad.

With the Champions League returning in the form of a round of sixteen tie against Atletico Madrid tie, the fixture list will become much more hectic.

But for now, Inter still have a week of rest and preparation between matches.

The Nerazzurri faced off against Juventus last weekend. They won 1-0 in a convincing Derby d’Italia performance.

This took some of the pressure off Inter as it put some breathing room between they and the Bianconeri in the table.

But this Saturday’s Serie A clash with Roma will still be an important one.

Three points will be vital to keep the momentum from the win over Juventus going.

Inter To Start With Same Lineup Vs Roma As In Win Vs Juventus

According to the Gazzetta, Inzaghi has no intention of making any changes on Saturday.

The Nerazzurri boss went with what he saw as his strongest starting eleven against Juventus. And he was vindicated, as the team that he put out got the job done with a strong performance.

Therefore, the Gazzetta anticipates, Inzaghi would have little intention of making any changes.

That means that the first-choice back three of Benjamin Pavard, Francesco Acerbi, and Alessandro Bastoni will start.

In midfield, it will be the trio of Nicolo Barella, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Hakan Calhanoglu.

The wingbacks will be Italian internationals Federico Dimarco and Matteo Darmian. That means that Denzel Dumfries will once again have to settle for a place on the bench.

And in attack, there will be no surprises.

Captain Lautaro Martinez will lead the line alongside French international Marcus Thuram.
