Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram feels that the Nerazzurri squad are bonded together by a “love of playing together.”

The 26-year-old spoke to Italian broadcaster RAI Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter have been enjoying an exceptional season so far.

The Nerazzurri have managed to find a style of play that gets the best out of virtually every player in the squad.

And whilst there is undeniably a hierarchy in terms of which players start and which are seen more as substitutes or backup options, there have been important contributions from just about everyone.

Players like Davide Frattesi, Stefan de Vrij, and Carlos Augusto, for example, may not start all the time.

But all three have made big impacts in matches, both from the start and from the bench.

Meanwhile, the team have integrated the arrivals from last summer transfer window well.

Striker Thuram is a real testament to that. The 26-year-old came in on a free transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach, and he hit the ground running.

Since then, Thuram has gone from strength to strength in an Inter shirt.

And like the former Gladbach and Guingamp man, Benjamin Pavard and Yann Sommer also arrived from the Bundesliga last summer.

And also like Thuram, neither of that duo have needed much in the way of an adjustment period.

Inter Striker Marcus Thuram: We’re 24 Players Who Love Playing Together

Thuram was the scorer of Inter’s equalizer against Roma yesterday. The 26-year-old also had a decisive role to play in the winning goal.

The Frenchman was happy with how the team played to secure the 4-2 victory.

“We played the way we know how to,” he said after the match.

“In the first half we didn’t play the way we wanted to,” he continued.

“So in the second, we had a desire to show the way that we really play.”

“The important thing is that we’re 23 or 24 players who love playing together,” the Nerazzurri striker added.

“I think you can see that in every Saturday or Sunday.”
