Juventus coach Max Allegri feels that an “extraordinary” Inter Milan are favourites for the Serie A title after their win over Roma.

The Bianconeri boss gave his thoughts in a press conference ahead of his team’s Serie A match against Udinese this evening, as reported by FCInterNews.

Inter are still some way from having their hands on the Serie A title.

There is more than a third of a season to go. And there will be plenty of tough matches to go.

And Juventus are still seven points behind the Nerazzurri.

That is a significant gap. But it means that the Bianconeri could have the opportunity to capitalize on just one or two slip-ups from the league leaders.

However, there is a sense that all the momentum is with Inter.

The Nerazzurri have taken six points from six against both Juventus and Roma. And they have in fact won all six of their matches in 2024, between Serie A and the Supercoppa Italiana.

Moreover, the football has tended to be convincing from Inter.

The Nerazzurri can control possession and pile chances on until they break through. Or they can dig deep and suffer defensively when they have to.

Juventus Coach Max Allegri Applauds “Extraordinary” Inter Vs Roma

Tomorrow, Juventus will take on Udinese in Serie A.

That match will give Allegri’s team the opportunity to cut the deficit at the top of the table to just four points once again. Albeit with Inter then having a game in hand, against Atalanta later this month.

As far as what he saw as the takeaways from the Inter win over Roma, Allegri said “That Inter are the favourites. But we didn’t need the match against Roma to be able to say that.”

The Juventus coach continued that “We’ve taken 53 points already this season. And it’s important that we get back to winning ways tomorrow, so that we can increase the distance from fifth place.”

“We’sd be back to winning ways, and we’d be four points behind Inter again. That’s a fact.”

“Let’s keep going on the path we’re on,” Allegri said.

“What Inter are doing is extraordinary. They’ve played seven matches, and I believe they’ve won all seven.”

“As for us, we just have to take it one step at a time. And then hopefully we can win tomorrow.”
