Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi remains an Inter Milan supporter despite leaving the club two and a half years ago.

The Morocco international only spent a single campaign with the Nerazzurri, but it was certainly a memorable one.

The 25-year-old established himself as one of the finest wingbacks in Europe during his time at the club under the tutelage of Antonio Conte.

He also played an integral part in the club’s Scudetto triumph.

Hakimi’s exploits attracted interest from PSG who splashed around 68 million euros to secure his services. This was an offer that the Nerazzurri couldn’t refuse.

Yet, Inter and Hakimi parted ways on amicable terms, and the player remains fond of his relatively short stint at Appiano Gentile.

While talking to the Italian press following PSG’s win over Real Sociedad in the Champions League on Wednesday, the wingback declared himself an Inter fan.

“I almost forgot how to speak Italian, but let me try. Yes, I still follow Inter,” said the Moroccan in his post-match interview with Sky Sport Italia via FcInterNews.

“I think they can win the Scudetto this year. I’m an Inter fan and I always follow them.

“I expect the Nerazzurri to have a great season.”
