Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi will only partially rotate his starting lineup against Salernitana this evening.

This will be an encounter between the Serie A leaders and the team that resides at the very bottom of the table.

Yet, the Nerazzurri aren’t planning on taking too many risks, explains Il Corriere dello Sport via FcInterNews.

Even with a major Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid looming on the horizon, Inzaghi still intends to unleash a solid lineup on Friday.

As the source explains, the Inter manager doesn’t consider the contest against Salernitana an easy one, despite what the standings may suggest.

The Roman newspaper expects Inzaghi to make only three changes to the lineup that beat Roma and Juventus.

One of the changes is in fact mandatory due to Francesco Acerbi’s slight muscle strain. Stefan de Vrij will step up in the Italian’s stead.

The Dutchman will slot in between Alessandro Bastoni and Benjamin Pavard in the back-three.

The other two changes will occur on the wings.

Denzel Dumfries will return to the starting lineup, taking over from Matteo Darmian.

The latter has been a regular starter on the right wing since Dumfries first sustained an injury in mid-December.

On the left side, Carlos Augusto replaces Federico Dimarco.

Elsewhere, the lineup remains intact. Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will form the midfield trio.

Finally, Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram will lead the line, leaving Marko Arnautovic (who was tested during the week in training) on the bench alongside Alexis Sanchez.

Nevertheless, the source expects Inzaghi to ring more changes in next weekend’s away trip to Lecce.

That fixture will precede the delayed clash against Atalanta which will ensue on February 28th.
