The agent of Juventus target Michele Di Gregorio doesn’t feel that the goalkeeper’s connection to Inter Milan will prevent a move.

SPeaking to Italian outlet TVPlay, via FCInterNews, Di Gregorio’s agent Carlo Alberto Belloni made clear that the 26-year-old is “not an Interista” even if he will always feel a special fondness.

Monza keeper Di Gregorio has attracted the interest of Juventus, according to reports.

That is hardly a surprise based on the Italian’s form over the past couple seasons.

Di Gregorio helped Monza achieve promotion to Serie A. And since then, he has been one of the outstanding keepers in the Italian top flight.

And Juventus are starting to think about what the future looks like in goal.

Former Arsenal and Roma keeper Wojcjech Szczesny has been holding down the starting berth for several years now.

But the Polish international will not be playing forever.

So the Bianconeri are starting to look towards Di Gregorio as an option.

Agent Of Juventus Target Michele Di Gregorio On Inter Connection

The fact that Di Gregorio is a youth academy graduate does add another interesting twist to the links to Juventus.

After all, the Bianconeri and the Nerazzurri are traditional rivals.

For a player who feels strong links to one, there could be a certain sense of conflict in joining the other.

But at the same time, Di Gregorio is a professional.

And according to the 26-year-old’s agent, his longstanding connection to Inter is not something that he would necessarily allow to stand in the way of taking the next steps in his career at Juventus.

The player’s agent Belloni noted that “Di Gregorio has a particular fondness for Inter due to the fact that he came through the youth tanks there.”

“But he’s not an Interista,” the agent continued.

“Since he left Inter permanently to sign a different contract, there’s nothing connecting him to the club other than them having a small percentage of future resale.”

“The relationship still exists because he played there,” Belloni noted.”

“We talked briefly before Christmas, but there was nothing more than that.”

“The Nerazzurri probably don’t have the financial strength to make a major offer for him,” the agent predicted.

“He’s certainly ready to make the leap to a big team.”

And tjhe agent made clear that “There have been some talks about my client Di Gregorio.”

He added that “At Juventus they have Szczesny, who still has a year left on his contract at €6.5 million net per season.”

“At the moment that makes it difficult for them to consider other paths.”

“As far as his future, I’d prefer to keep him in Italy,” the agent said. “Other leagues, like the Premier League, would mean taking a different kind of path forwards.”
