Referee Andrea Colombo will be in charge of Inter Milan’s Serie A match against Atalanta on Wednesday evening.

The Lega Serie A confirm the refereeing crews for both matches from the matchday 21 round to be made up this week, via FCInterNews.

On Wednesday evening, Inter will host Atalanta at the San Siro.

The Nerazzurri and La Dea will play out the Serie A match that had initially been set for mid-January.

That was when the round of fixtures for matchday 21 in Serie A was played. However, Inter were unable to play their match due to their commitments in the Supercoppa Italiana.

The Nerazzurri, along with Napoli, Lazio, and Fiorentina, were in Saudi Arabia for that competition.

Therefore, the four teams’ fixtures were all postponed.

And this week was identified as a suitable date for Inter and Atalanta to make up the match.

For Inter, it will be a big match in the context of their Serie A title pursuit. The Nerazzurri have won all ten of their matches in 2024, giving themselves a sizable cushion over Juventus.

A victory against La Dea would see Inter go twelve points clear at the top.

Meanwhile, Atalanta have top four hopes to think about. La Dea snatched a draw against AC Milan yesterday, and will be right back at the San Siro tomorrow.

Points will be vital for Gian Piero Gasperini’s team, who can feel the likes of Bologna and Roma breathing down their necks.

And Atalanta face perhaps their toughest run of fixtures of the season over the next few weeks.

Andrea Colombo To Referee Inter Vs Atalanta Serie A Clash

The referee for Wednesday’s match will be Andrea Colombo.

Assisting Colombo in his duties will be Alessandro Lo Cicero and Andrea Zingarelli.

The role of the fourth official, meanwhile, will fall to Luca Pairetto.

In the VAR booth, Aleandro Di Paolo will oversee the match to ensure to correct any errors by the on-pitch officials.

Assisting Di Paolo in his duties will be Valerio Marini.

Inter will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch rather than refereeing controversy.
