Defender Alessandro Bastoni feels that the strength of the Inter Milan group is greater than any one individual player.

The 24-year-old spoke to InterTV, via FCInterNews, after the Nerazzurri’s 4-0 Serie A win over Atalanta.

Inter got another statement win over Atalanta in Serie A this season.

That makes it eleven matches in a row in which the Nerazzurri have won in 2024. They have yet to fail to win a match since the turn of the year.

And it was not just a matter of the result.

The performance by the Nerazzurri was also highly impressive, high-tempo, fluid, and full of attacking flair.

It would be tough to name just one or two players as the standouts on the pitch.

But that was a testament to just how much this Inter team have learned to function as a unit.

The players rely on each others’ movement and understanding to play at their absolute best.

Alessandro Bastoni: Inter Group Stronger Than Any One Individual

Bastoni remarked after the match that “We’ve seen how the strength of the group is more important than that of the individual.”

“We’re happy,” he continued.

“We’re enjoying our football,” he continued. “But we can’t let up now, because now comes the best and most difficult part.”

“It’s a team game,” Bastoni went on.

“We all attack together, and we all defend together.”

“When there’s also pressure from the forwards, then everything is a lot easier for us at the back as well,” the 24-year-old noted.

As far as facing Atalanta, Bastoni noted that “We knew that they would start strongly.”

“They’re a team in good form,” the Italian international went on.

“And just like us, they hadn’t lost in 2024.”

“We suffered a bit at the start of the match,” he added. “But we did well to counteract what they were doing and win the match.”
