Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco has lavish praise for his manager Simone Inzaghi, explaining what makes him so unique.

The 47-year-old is arguably enjoying the best moment in his career with the Nerazzurri embarking on an unstoppable run since the turn of the year.

The Beneamata are currently leading the Serie A standings by 12 points. They also boast the best attack and the best defense in Europe’s Top Five Leagues.

In their most recent show of grandeur, Inter hammered their guests Atalanta by four unanswered goals last night.

Dimarco put his name on the scoresheet, netting his side’s third of the evening. Marco Carnesecchi managed to save Lautaro Martinez’s penalty kick, but the wingback was there to pounce on the rebound.

After the match, the 26-year-old hailed the team’s overall performance, insisting that beating Atalanta wasn’t an easy task.

“You can see the strength of the group in the way we help one another on the pitch,” said the Italy international in his post-match interview with Sportitalia via FcInterNews.

“It wasn’t easy to face an Atalanta team that was unbeaten in 2024. So we’re happy because it’s a very important victory.

Finally, Dimarco reserved the bulk of the praise for his manager.

He described Inzaghi as an “exceptional person” who is behind the great atmosphere in the dressing room.

“Inzaghi is a great coach and an exceptional person who makes us all feel good.

“He can make the entire team laugh with his jokes. We are delighted to have him.”

Inter’s next task is another Serie A home fixture. The Nerazzurri will host Genoa at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on Monday night.
