Alexis Sanchez is set to start for Inter Milan in attack in Monday evening’s Serie A match against Genoa.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. Sky also anticipate that Carlos Augusto and Denzel Dumfries will start the match.

Inter will get Marcus Thuram back from injury for Monday’s match against Genoa.

The Frenchman is back in full training this weekend. He completed a training session with the rest of his teammates today.

However, that does not mean that Thuram will be ready to be thrust straight back into the starting eleven.

The fitness of the 26-year-old is still something of a question.

And Inter will want to gradually bring Thuram back into the lineup in anticipation of their Champions League round of sixteen second leg against Atletico Madrid later this month.

Therefore, it will not be the Frenchman starting alongside Lautaro Martinez in attack on Monday.

Alexis Sanchez To Start For Inter In Serie A Clash Vs Genoa

According to Sky, former Arsenal and Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez will be back in the Inter starting lineup.

The Chilean had started in the Nerazzurri’s 4-0 win over Lecce.

Sanchez grabbed an assist to cap off a strong performance in that match.

However, that was not enough to see the 34-year-old keep his place against Atalanta on Wednesday. Marko Arnautovic started that match.

But on Monday, it will be Sanchez. That will mean that Arnautovic drops to the bench.

Meanwhile, Sky confirm that Carlos Augusto will start on Monday.

The Brazilian will play on the left of the Inter back three, in place of the suspended Alessandro Bastoni.

And on the right flank, Denzel Dumfries is set to start against the Grifone, Sky reports.

The Dutchman had come off the bench at halftime against Atalanta. And he will replace Matteo Darmian from the start on Monday.
