There are no injuries for Inter Milan midfielders Davide Frattesi or Kristjan Asllani despite minor scares in yesterday’s match against Genoa.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews. The outlet report that the squad will receive today off, but that the duo should be back in training tomorrow.

Inter had a couple of minor injury scares during yesterday evening’s Serie A match against Genoa.

One concerned midfielder Frattesi. The 24-year-old had suffered a problem during the warm-ups for the match.

After the match, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi confirmed the issue for Frattesi. He explained that the Italian international had not been moving freely in the warm-up.

Therefore, Frattesi decided not to take any risks by playing against Genoa.

The former Sassuolo midfielder had in fact been a doubt going into yesterday’s match. He had picked up a thigh problem after coming off the bench against Atalanta last week.

However, FCIN report, there is no issue for Frattesi. The midfielder should be back in training ahead of next Saturday’s Serie A match away to Bologna.

No Injuries For Frattesi Or Asllani Vs Genoa

Another Inter midfielder had also had a bit of an injury scare at the end of yesterday’s match.

21-year-old Albanian international Asllani started the match. And he saw out the full ninety minutes.

But Asllani looked to be experiencing some discomfort at the end of the match.

This led to some worry that the former Empoli midfielder could be dealing with an injury.

However, according to FCIN, that is not the case. Asllani will be able to participate in tomorrow’s training session with the rest of his teammates.

Meanwhile, the outlet anticipate, midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu should be back in training in the next few days.

This should give the Turkish international time to recover for the match against Bologna.

Therefore, in all likelihood, Calhanoglu will start that match on the bench.

That will mean a fourth consecutive start for Asllani at the base of the Inter midfield. Then, Calhanoglu can come on as a substitute in the second half.

This would give the 30-year-old some minutes to gain match fitness ahead of Inter’s following match.

That will be the massive second leg of their Champions League round of sixteen tie against Atletico Madrid.
