Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has resumed training with the squad today as the Nerazzurri continue their preparations for Bologna,

The 30-year-old sustained an adductor injury a couple of weeks ago which saw him skipping the team’s previous three fixtures against Lecce, Atalanta and Genoa.

Luckily for Simone Inzaghi, his star Regista has now recovered, with his return to the pitch edging ever closer.

So according to Sky Sport Italia via FcInterNews, Calhanoglu trained with his teammates normally on Thursday.

Therefore, the source tips him to feature in Saturday’s clash against Bologna.

This will be a tough test for the Serie A leaders as they’ll take on one of the most in-form teams in the league at the moment.

Hakan Calhanoglu Rejoins Inter Milan Teammates In Training

Thiago Motta’s men currently sit fourth in the standings, leading the race for the coveted Champions League spot.

But more importantly, this will be the final stop for the Nerazzurri ahead of Tuesday’s big European showdown. Inzaghi’s men will clash heads with Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League Round 16.

Thus, it would be significant for Calhanoglu to gain some minutes against Bologna. After all, Inzaghi will be hoping to have his deep-lying midfielder at his optimal physical condition in the Spanish capital.

Inter won the first leg at home by one unanswered goal thanks to a late strike from Marko Arnautovic.

With Calhanoglu back in action, Juan Cuadrado and Stefano Sensi are the only two Nerazzurri stars who remain on the treatment table.
