Alexis Sanchez could get a start in attack for Inter Milan in this evening’s Serie A match away to Bologna.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper reports that Sanchez could partner Marcus Thuram in attack.

One thing that looks all but certain is that France international Thuram will start for Inter this evening.

The 26-year-old made his return from injury against Genoa on Monday, He came on as a second half substitute in that match.

And Thuram will be ready to start this evening, getting key minutes in his legs.

Equally probably is that Inter captain Lautaro Martinez will get a rest.

The Argentine doesn’t often drop out of the Inter lineup.

But Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will be very wary of overusing his captain, particularly with the second leg of a Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid looming.

But the question of the second striker leading the line for Inter is more up in the air, the Corriere anticipate.

Alexis Sanchez Could Start For Inter Vs Bologna

Former Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic could play from the first minute on his return to the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara with Inter.

The Austrian looks to be the main “Plan B” in attack for Inter.

But on the other hand, the Corriere report, Sanchez’s chances of starting are not to be discounted.

The Chilean has made a couple of recent starts for Inter. He was in the lineup against the likes of Lecce and Genoa.

And moreover, Sanchez has impressed in his recent appearances.

The former Arsenal and Manchester United veteran has assisted a goal in all of Inter’s three most recent matches. He also scored his first Serie A goal of the season against Genoa.

According to the Corriere, Sanchez could be getting yet another chance to shine against Bologna this evening.
