Former AC Milan midfielder Demetrio Albertini feels that Arrigo Sacchi judged Inter Milan Coach Simone Inzaghi wrongly.

Speaking to Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews, Albertini gave his thoughts on his old coach’s assessment of the current Nerazzurri boss.

Ex-Milan coach Sacchi has always been outspoken when it comes to football.

And Sacchi has never had any trouble giving opinions that are controversial or go against the grain.

So it has proven when it comes to Inter coach Inzaghi.

The former Rossoneri and Italy coach has consistently held that the 47-year-old is missing something to be at the highest level in European football.

Sacchi has argued this about Inter’s football both when they have faced widespread criticism and drawn praise.

But recently, Sacchi has changed his tune about Inter somewhat.

Accordingly, the legendary former coach has admitted that Inzaghi has improved in ways that he never anticipated.

Albertini: Arrigo Sacchi Was Wrong About Simone Inzaghi

And for his part, former midfielder Albertini also feels that Sacchi got it wrong when it comes to the current Inter and former Lazio coach.

Albertini remarked that “Sacchi is capable of being wrong.”

“Just like many who doubted Simone.”

The former midfielder went on about Inzaghi that “He’s doing something extraordinary.”

“He has built a great team. And brought the team to a level that does justice to the club’s heritage,” Albertini went on.

The former Milan midfielder wanted that Inter must watch out for “The enthusiasm and dynamism of Atletico,” in tomorrow evening’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg.

“And the intense atmosphere of the stadium as well,” he added.

Albertini noted of Atletico that :”n La Liga, they’re struggling.”

“Therefore, this match is worth a lot to them.”

“But having to come back from 1-0 down will force them to come out of their shell a bit,” he added.
