Striker Marcus Thuram says that he’s “calm and focused” ahead of this evening’s Champions League clash between Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan.

The 26-year-old spoke to InterTV ahead of the round of sixteen second leg, via FCInterNews.

This evening, Inter will play one of the most important matches of their season.

The Nerazzurri are up against Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, playing for a place in the Champions League quarterfinals.

Inter have an advantage in the tie. But it is only a very marginal one – they won the first leg 1-0.

And the second leg promises to be an even tougher proposition.

In the first leg, Inter were playing in front of their fans at the San Siro.

This time around, it is Atletico who will enjoy the backing of the home crowd.

So there will be a lot of pressure and expectation on Inter.

“Then let’s see what the pitch says.”

“But then, Lautaro is also back in the team. So that will be a massive help to us.”
