Inter Milan fans who made the trip to Spain were disappointed in the end.
The Nerazzurri were not able to hold onto their advantage from the first leg of their Champions League round of sixteen tie against Atletico Madrid.
The tie went to extra time and a penalty shootout. And the Nerazzurri lost.
That means that Inter’s European adventure is over. There will be no reaching the same heights as last season’s run to the final.
Still, the team saluted their fans who made the journey to support them.
