Inter Milan will hate the sight of Spanish teams in Europe after their Champions League exit to Atletico Madrid.
The Colchoneros turned around a first-leg defeat to knock the Nerazzurri out of the competition.
This is the fourth time that Inter have faced Spanish opposition in a two-legged Champions League tie.
And it has, more often than not, not gone the way that the Nerazzurri would want it to.
Football stats account Opta noted in a tweet that “Inter have failed to progress three of the last four times they have faced a Spanish team in the knockout stage of the #ChampionsLeague – v Villarreal in the quarter-finals in 2006 and Valencia in the round of 16 in 2007 previously. Stop.”
