Defenders Matteo Darmian and Francesco Acerbi will be back in the Inter Milan starting eleven against Napoli tomorrow evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper anticipate a few changes to the team that lost to Atletico Madrid.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi made a couple of big selection decisions in Wednesday’s ill-fated Champions League round of sixteen away to Atletico Madrid.

The most eye-catching names on the Nerazzurri teamsheet were perhaps two Dutch internationals.

Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij got the nod over Italians Darmian and Acerbi respectively.

Then the two Azzurri veterans came on as substitutes later in the match.

Matteo Darmian & Francesco Acerbi To Start For Inter Vs Napoli

According to the Corriere, however, the two Italians will regain their places in the team tomorrow evening.

Inter will be aiming to bounce back from the disappointment of a Champions League exit by beating reigning Italian champions Napoli for the second time in Serie A this season.

And Darmian and Acerbi will not be the only two changes to the team.

The Corriere anticipate that there will be at least one notable change in midfield.

Italian international Davide Frattesi should get the nod from the first minute, reports the Corriere.

The 24-year-old will replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the lineup. The Armenian former Arsenal and Manchester United midfielder had played nearly two hours against Atletico, appearing quite ragged towards the end.

On the other hand, in attack it will be the usual pair.

The Corriere predict that Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram will lead the line for Inter.

And in goal, there should be no surprises. Yann Sommer will start as usual.

The newspaper’s complete predicted starting eleven is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Pavard, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Frattesi, Calhanoglu, Barella, Dimarco; Thuram, Lautaro.
