Inter Milan defender Francesco Acerbi has left the Italy national team squad after an alleged racism incident yesterday.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews. The outlet reports that the 36-year-old left the national team’s training camp after a conversation with Azzurri coach Luciano Spalletti about the incident.

However, the 36-year-old will not be part of the Italy squad during the break as the fallout of the incident during yesterday’s match emerges.

Subsequently, Roma defender Gianluca Mancini has replaced the Inter defender in the squad.
