The agent of Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez offered an optimistic statement regarding contract talks with the management.
The 26-year-old has now established himself as the club’s ultimate talisman.
Since inheriting the captain’s armband in the summer, he has taken his game up a notch.
The striker has been in splendid form this season and he currently leads the Serie A scoring charts with 23 goals.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri are eager to tie down the Argentine with a new contract, even though his current deal runs until 2026.
For his part, the player’s agent Alejandro Camano remains calm as he assures that the two parties are working on finding a full agreement.
Lautaro’s representatives insists that they aren’t in a rush, as the player’s contract won’t expire anytime soon.
“We are in constant contact with the management of Inter. We have an excellent relationship with the club,” said Camano in an interview with FcInter1908.
“When will we sign the renewal? Well. Lautaro has a contract until 2026!
“He has a great relationship with Inter, he is the club’s captain after all.”

Camano believes that the main focus at the moment is achieving the club’s sporting objectives, or in other words, winning Inter’s 20th Scudetto title.

“But we will continue to work for the future of Lautaro and Inter together. There is no rush, we are all absolutely calm.”
The 2022 World Cup winner first joined the Nerazzurri in 2018 after rising through the ranks at Racing Club.
