Legendary Italian striker Francesco Totti expects Inter Milan to reach the finish line in the Scudetto race, but Simone Inzaghi still has a key role to play.

The Nerazzurri had been riding a winning steak since the turn of the new year. But it came to an end on Sunday with a 1-1 draw against Napoli at San Siro.

However, despite AC Milan’s recent revival, the Beneamata are still enjoying a healthy lead. Stefano Pioli’s side remains 14 points adrift from the top.

Therefore, many believe that the Scudetto title is now Inter’s to lose.

The Serie A giants only have to maintain their composure for the remaining nine rounds and avoid a collapse.

This would be enough to seize the Italian throne and earn their second Golden Star.

For his part, Totti doesn’t see Inter squandering their comprehensive lead.

Nevertheless, the iconic Roma Number 10 believes that it could all depend on Inzaghi’s game management.

“Inter have a good advantage over second place They are highly unlikely to lose the Scudetto,” noted the 47-year-old in an interview with Sport Mediaset via FcInterNews.

“However, everything will depend on how Inzaghi organizes the next matches.”

Francesco Totti Says Simone Inzaghi Must Know To Manage The Remaining Inter Milan Matches

Totti also explained his recent remarks on Roma star Paulo Dybala when he suggested that the club must reconsider his future due to his injury record.

“I am not a manager, but simply a Roma fan and for this reason, I can say what I want.

“I never intended to attack Paulo also because I have always thought that he is a top player so much so that I was the first person who tried to bring him to Roma.

“When he’s on the pitch, he changes the face of the team.”
