Legendary former Inter Milan and Germany midfielder Lothar Matthaus turned 61 yesterday.
Matthaus spent four seasons with the Nerazzurri, between 1988 and 1992.
During that time, the German made a total of 153 appearances for Inter. He scored a total of 53 goals for the club across all competitions.
The crowning achievement of Matthaus’s time at Inter was surely winning the Serie A title during the 1988-89 campaign.
Meanwhile, Matthaus also won the World Cup with Germany whilst he was an Inter player. He made a total of 150 appearances for Die Mannschaft.
The German also played for the likes of Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayern Munich during his career.
