Cesare Casadei says that he still keeps in touch with his former Inter Milan youth teammates, and that he isn’t feeling pressure at Chelsea.

The 21-year-old spoke to the official social media account of the Italian Under-21 national team, via FCInterNews.

Casadei made the move from Inter to Chelsea in the summer of 2022.

Aged nineteen at the time of the transfer, the midfielder had never made a senior appearance for the Nerazzurri.

However, Casadei had a very strong reputation based on his performances for the Primavera side.

And that was enough to convince Chelsea to make their move for Casadei.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri decided to cash in on the young midfielder. This was undoubtedly the result of the club facing major financial limitations during the transfer window.

Selling Casadei for a sizable fee allowed Inter to avoid selling a bigger name from their senior squad.

Casadei: Still Keep In Touch With Ex Inter Youth Teammates, Not Feeling Pressure At Chelsea

Casadei said that at Chelsea, “I don’t feel the pressure.”

“I always try to keep doing better, and have an awareness that I haven’t done anything yet,” the 21-year-old continued.

“In London, I only watch movies and television in English, because I have to perfect my language skills,” Casadei added.

“When I arrived in England, I had the inevitable difficulties. And I have to thank Jorginho, Aubameyang, and Thiago Silva for helping me to settle in.”

“Now, a year and a half later, it’s better. But I have to think and speak in English, particularly since I know Italian better.”

Meanwhile, Casadei also spoke about his former Inter Primavera teammate, midfielder Giovanni Fabbian.

“Our paths may have diverged, at least as roommates.”

“But we’ve still stayed very close, as with the other teammates from the Inter Primavera team.”

“We still have a chat where we keep in touch, messaging each other now and then,” Casadei said.
