Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento belittles transfer links with Inter Milan and others, preferring to focus on his current employers.

The Nerazzurri have been keeping tabs on the 24-year-old for quite some time. They attempted to sign him last summer but couldn’t strike an agreement with the Brazilian club.

But in recent weeks, some sources in the Italian media claim that the Serie A leaders have revived their interest in the player.

Bento also claimed further acclaim by making his debut for the Brazilian national team during the March international break.

The goalkeeper made his international bow in the 1-0 win over England at Wembley. He was also between the sticks for the 3-3 draw against Spain a few days later.

The shot-stopper expressed his delight to join the Selecao.

“It’s very different from what I’m used to. I’m happy to have taken the opportunity and doing well with the national team,” said Bento in his interview with Globo Esporte via FcInterNews.

“I’m very grateful for this experience. It was a very beautiful experience and one that will remain with me for the rest of my life.

“I will remember it all my life and I will tell it to my children, my grandchildren and my great-grandchildren.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better Brazil debut. It was perfect.”

Inter Milan Transfer Target Bento Dismisses Transfer Links

Bento also addressed transfer links with a host of European clubs. Aside from Inter, his list of suitors includes Benfica, Chelsea, Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest.

Nevertheless, the goalkeeper insists he isn’t in concrete talks with any club.

“There is nothing concrete. I am 100% focused on Athletico Paranaense “.

This season, Bento has made 11 appearances in the Brazilian league, registering five clean sheets in the process.
