Inter Milan duo Stefan de Vrij and Marko Arnautovic are targeting a comeback in the Serie A clash against Udinese.

With the international break now behind us, the Nerazzurri will resume their campaign by hosting Empoli at San Siro on Monday.

But while Yann Sommer has managed to overcome his injury and is vying for a starting berth, Arnautovic and de Vrij require additional time on the sidelines.

Nevertheless, the experienced duo’s return isn’t too far away.

According to Sky Sport Italia via FcInterNews, the two stars are gunning for a call-up ahead of the trip to Udine.

The Nerazzurri will travel to Friuli to take on Udinese on Monday, the 8th of April.

The Dutch defender and the Austrian striker will be hoping to be part of the traveling party.

Arnautovic sustained an injury during Inter’s 1-0 win over his former employers Bologna on March 9th.

For his part, de Vrij picked up a knock during his stay with the Netherlands, which sparked an early return to Appiano Gentile.

On the other hand, Juan Cuadrado might require additional patience before making his long-awaited return to action.

The Colombian struggled with an Achilles tendon problem that derailed his campaign. He eventually underwent surgery to treat it. Therefore, he has been out of action since December.

As the source tells it, the wingback should resume training with his teammates either next week or the following one.

The 35-year-old will be looking to make an impact in the final weeks of the campaign.

Although he’s unlikely to earn a new contract, he will be hoping to attract some suitors. The veteran reportedly has admirers in the Turkish league.
