Gianluca Di Marzio feels that there’s no substance to any rumours linking Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi to teams in the Premier League.

This Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert spoke about the Nerazzurri coach’s future on air, via FCInterNews. He stressed that the 47-year-old’s priority is to stay at Inter and that he’ll extend his contract.

At the moment, Inzaghi is under contract with Inter until the end of June 2025.

But reports have suggested that the Nerazzurri have made tying their coach down on a new deal a priority.

This would be to reward the job that the coach has done. Inter are currently a whopping fourteen points clear at the top of the Serie A table, a testament to Inzaghi’s work.

And moreover, Inter want to clearly ward off the interest of other clubs in their coach.

Naturally, the job that Inzaghi has done at Inter has not gone unnoticed by some of Europe’s top clubs.

And teams in the Premier League have been among these.

English giants Liverpool will be replacing their coach Juergen Klopp in the summer. And Chelsea and Manchester United could be looking for new coaches as well.

Therefore, it is hardly surprising to see that Inzaghi has been linked with these clubs.

Di Marzio: No Truth To Rumours Linking Simone Inzaghi To Premier League Teams

According to Sky transfer market expert Di Marzio, however, Inzaghi is hardly going to leave Inter at this stage, even if a Premier League club were to try and lure him in.

“Simone Inzaghi has some Premier League clubs that really appreciate him,” Di Marzio said.

“But I think that he’s decided to stay. He’ll extend his contract.”

“The time has not yet come for him to leave,” Di Marzio said of the Inter coach.

“There are still important goals left for him to achieve.”
