Udinese coach Gabriele Cioffi is forced to host Inter Milan on Monday night with a depleted attacking department.

The Zebrette will welcome the Nerazzurri to the Blue Energy Stadium on Monday night. This will be the final fixture from the 31st matchday of Serie A.

The Friulians will be desperate to come away with a positive result to remain afloat. They currently sit 14th in the standings with 28 points, only three above the relegation zone.

But if hosting the runaway league leaders wasn’t daunting enough, Udinese will have to do with a ravaged attacking department.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, Cioffi will be missing four attackers.

The most important absentee is key striker Lorenzo Lucca. The gigantic Italian has cemented himself as the club’s main goalscorer this term. He has already contributed with seven goals and three assists.

The 23-year-old will be serving a one-match ban after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season in Sassuolo.

Moreover, Aston Villa loanee Keinan Davis is also out with a calf injury. The same goes for Brazilian striker Brenner who returned to his home country due to a family emergency.

Udinese Facing Major Attacking Crisis Ahead Of Inter Milan Clash

Udinese have also been without Gerard Deulofeu who has been on the sidelines since the start of the season after undergoing knee surgery.

Therefore, 28-year-old Isaac Success emerges as the ultimate candidate to lead the line against the Nerazzurri.

The Nigerian should operate as the centre-forward in Cioffi’s 3-5-1-1 lineup, with Florian Thauvin behind him.

Success will hardly be an inspiring choice for Udinese fans, as he has yet to score a goal in 23 Serie A appearances this term. Nevertheless, he remains the only option for the Zebrette.
