Inter Milan striker Marko Arnautovic and defender Stefan de Vrij will be ready to return from injury against Udinese.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, report that the pair will be part of the Nerazzurri squad for the Serie A clash in Friuli on Monday.

Both Arnautovic and de Vrij were absent from Inter’s squad in last weekend’s match against Empoli.

In the case of Arnautovic, the problem was a thigh problem that had kept the Austrian out for around a month.

Arnautovic had picked up the muscle strain during a match against Bologna last month.

This thigh strain caused Arnautovic to miss matches against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and Napoli in Serie A before the international break.

Meanwhile, defender de Vrij picked up a thigh strain during the break.

The former Lazio and Feyenoord defender had initially joined up with the Netherlands squad. However, he returned early due to picking up his injury in training.

Arnautovic & De Vrij To Return For Inter In Serie A Clash Vs Udinese

Inter have hardly been rushing either Arnautovic or de Vrij back to the pitch.

The pair have been given sufficient time to recover from their injuries.

But this weekend, both Arnautovic and de Vrij are back in training. Therefore, they should both be able to be part of the squad for Monday’s match away to Udinese.

This is certainly good for Inter coach Simone Inzaghi in terms of squad depth.

The 48-year-old can now call upon all four senior strikers in the squad, with Arnautovic joining Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, and Alexis Sanchez.

Meanwhile, de Vrij’s availability gives the coach some room to manoeuvre in terms of the back three.

That is particularly helpful for the Nerazzurri coach given a slight muscle injury for defender Alessandro Bastoni.
