Lazio captain Ciro Immobile has been offered to Inter Milan, but the Nerazzurri’s real target in attack is Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Immobile’s time at Lazio is looking increasingly likely to come to an end when this season finishes.

The 34-year-old has been with the Biancocelesti for a total of eight seasons.

During that time, Immobile has made 334 appearances for Lazio. He has scored 206 goals in total, becoming the club’s all-time top scorer.

Moreover, Immobile has worn the captain’s armband for Lazio since the departure of Senad Lulic in 2020.

But Immobile’s place in the project at Lazio has looked more and more tenuous over the past twelve months or so.

Maurizio Sarri has departed as head coach. And former Hellas Verona and Marseille boss Igor Tudor has taken the Italian’s place.

It is looking as though Lazio will aim for a summer refresh during the summer transfer window.

The Biancocelesti will not focus on Immobile in the future, given the striker’s age.

Ciro Immobile Offered To Inter – But Nerazzurri Prefer Albert Gudmundsson

Therefore Immobile is thinking about his future. And the Italy captain’s representatives are looking at the options for him for next season.

One could be represented by current Serie A league leaders.

Immobile would naturally be happy to stay in the Italian top flight, where he has been prolific for many years with Lazio and Torino.

The 34-year-old would not mind leaving the Italian capital if it were to mean fighting for trophies with Inter.

Moreover, a move to the Nerazzurri would mean a reunion with former Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi.

Inter are aware of the prospect of signing Immobile.

But according to Tuttosport, the Italian international is not high on the Nerazzurri’s list of targets.

Rather, the newspaper anticipates, Inter are much more keen to sign Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa.
