Inter Milan wingback Carlos Augusto is expecting a tough match against Udinese, but believes the Nerazzurri are motivated to get the points.

The Brazilian spoke to InterTV ahead of the Serie A clash in Friuli, as reported by FCInterNews.

This evening, Inter take on Udinese for the second time this season.

The last meeting saw the Nerazzurri prevail by an emphatic 4-0 scoreline.

However, that does not mean that Inter will be expecting it to be easy this evening in Udine.

On the contrary, Udinese had beaten Inter the last time that the Nerazzurri faced them away. That match was a 3-1 win for the Friulani.

Moreover, Udinese have beaten the likes of Lazio, AC Milan, Bologna, and Juventus this season.

Far too many draws mean that the Friulani are much closer than they’d like to be to the relegation places. But that will only be further motivation for them to try and get a surprise result against Inter.

Carlos Augusto: Udinese Tough, But Inter Motivated To Get Three Points

“We know that at this stage of the season, all teams have objectives to meet,” Augusto said of facing relegation-threatened Udinese.

“We’re playing away from home,” the 27-year-old added.

“It will be a tough match. We have to stay focused to get the result we want out of it.”

Augusto said of facing Gabriele Cioffi’s team that “We’ve studied the way they play. But we have to play our game regardless.”

“We’ll go out on to the pitch to try and get the three points,” the former Monza wingback added.

Meanwhile, Augusto gave his thoughts on coming up against versatile midfielder Roberty Pereyra.

“I know him,” the Inter wingback said of the Argentine former Juventus and Watford man. “I know the history he has, his experience.”

“But I’m ready for anything he can throw at me, and I want to do my best to help the team.”
