Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram is aiming to recover his best form not just for the Serie A run-in, but also for EURO 2024.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Striker Thuram has certainly been a key player for Inter for much of this season.

The 26-year-old took almost no time to settle in following his arrival on a free transfer last summer.

Thuram’s goals, assists, and overall play have been at the heart of the Nerazzurri’s flying season.

Moreover, the Frenchman has had a habit of popping up with goals when it’s mattered most. He has scored decisive goals against the likes of Fiorentina, AC Milan, Roma, and Benfica among others.

But the last couple of months have seen Thuram go without a goal.

The Frenchman’s last goal for Inter came in a Serie A win over Salernitana in February.

In the meantime, Thuram has been out for a couple of matches with an injury that he picked up against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

And since returning, Thuram has perhaps shown the effects of a long and tiring season.

The former Borussia Monchengladbach and Guingamp striker will be desperate to put all that behind him, though.

That is partly the case because Inter still have work to do in Serie A.

The Nerazzurri are out of the Champions League and the Coppa Italia. But they are still fighting to clinch the Serie A title – and potentially set some records while they’re at it.

A roaring end to the campaign from Thuram similar to how he started it would certainly be helpful in this respect.

Then in June, it will be time for the Euros.

Thuram is vying to be France’s starting striker at that tournament. He has the likes of AC Milan’s Olivier Giroud and Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani for competition in that respect.

At the very least, Thuram will play a significant number of minutes for Les Bleus at the tournament.

And naturally, the Inter striker will not want to carry over this recent slump in form with him. He’ll want to go into the Euros with momentum.
