Referee Francesco Fourneau will be the man in charge of the Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Cagliari on Sunday night.

The Nerazzurri are hosting Claudio Ranieri’s men in the 32nd round of the season. The league leaders are on the verge of mathematically sealing the Scudetto title.

With a win over Cagliari, they would be one victory away from sealing the deal. Curiously, this could occur in Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan on April 22nd.

Therefore, Simone Inzaghi’s men will be hellbent on beating their Sardinian visitors this weekend.  However, the Beneamata will have to do without the services of the suspended Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard.

According to FcInterNews, the AIA has appointed Francesco Fourneau as the match official.

The Roman manager has only officiated three Serie A fixtures this season but none featured major clubs.

Fourneau was the man in charge in the 1-1 draw between Frosinone and Fiorentina in September. He then refereed Genoa’s win over Udinese in February and Cagliari’s victory over Salernitana.

The Roman pulled out the yellow card on 13 occasions in his three top-flight outings this season. He also sent off a player on a single occasion for a second bookable offense, but has yet to show a direct red card or award a penalty kick.

While Fourneau will be at the center of the action, Palermo and Garzelli will serve as linesmen.

Camplone will act as the fourth official while Marco Di Bello will be in the VAR booth, assisted by Paolo Valeri.
