Former Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek believes this is the ideal time for Piotr Zielinski to leave Napoli and embark on a new career chapter with Inter Milan.

The 30-year-old has been plying his trade at the Maradona Stadium since 2016. However, he has opted against renewing his contract with the Partenopei.

According to all major sources in Italy, Inter have already struck an agreement with Zielinski and his entourage. The midfielder will thus join Simone Inzaghi’s ranks in the summer.

For his part, Dudek agrees with the choice of his Polish agreement. He also expects the former Udinese and Empoli man to take his game up a notch after joining a “great” Inter squad.

“Zielinski is a legend at Napoli. He has done fantastic things in recent years,” said the 2005 Champions League winner in an interview with Sportitalia via FcInter1908.

“He won the Scudetto when many said he had to change team to improve. But I think it’s the right time for him to change leave.

Jerzy Dudek Tips Napoli Midfielder Piotr Zielinski To Shine At Inter Milan

“Inter have a great team, including a solid midfield. I hope that Zielinski can grow even more and win again, because in the end, this is what matters the most.

“When a player seeks new challenges, I think it’s right to part ways. He was important for Napoli, and I hope that he and the Partenopei have a great future, each on their own path.”

This season, Zielinski has contributed with four goals and three assists in 33 appearances in all competitions.
