Wingback Juan Cuadrado will be the only Inter Milan player to miss out on Monday evening’s derby clash with AC Milan.

Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, report that the Colombian has already left today’s training session.

Cuadrado has made a total of one start for Inter this season.

That came in the Champions League. The Colombian started in Inter’s final group stage match against Real Sociedad.

And it was that match that more or less confirmed that the veteran former Juventus, Chelsea, and Fiorentina wingback would have to miss a big chunk of the rest of the season.

Not long after, Cuadrado underwent tendon surgery.

This was to correct a problem that the 35-year-old had been dealing with all through the first half of the campaign.

Cuadrado had tried to recover without surgery. But the match against La Real confirmed that the issue would not go away on its own.

Juan Cuadrado The Only Inter Player To Miss Derby Vs AC Milan

Cuadrado finally made his return to training earlier this month.

The former Chelsea, Juventus, and Fiorentina wide man was part of the squad for last Sunday’s Serie A draw against Cagliari.

Cuadrado was an unused substitute for that match.

However, Sky confirm, the 35-year-old will not be part of the squad for the derby on Monday.

The reason is some muscular fatigue that the player has picked up in training.

Cuadrado has been working to get back to match-fitness so that he can be ready to play a role over the last few matches of the season.

However, unfortunately for the Colombian, this training has been too much too soon. He has picked up a muscular knock.

That problem is not too serious. But it will be enough to rule Cuadrado out of the derby against Milan.

In the meantime, the veteran wingback continues to work to get back to fitness for the following matches.

Apart from Cuadrado, however, there will be no Inter players absent through injury or suspension on Monday.
