Legendary former Nerazzurri midfielder Nicola Berti is confident that Inter Milan will clinch the Serie A title against AC Milan.
Berti spoke to Milan-based newspaper Libero in an interview published in today’s print edition, via FCInterNews. He joked that the Nerazzurri could win the match 7-0.
Inter have a significant opportunity this evening.
This evening, Inter have an enormous opportunity before them.
The Nerazzurri could clinch the Serie A title in the derby against AC Milan.
That would be the first time that either of the two city rivals had done so.
And everyone at Inter is relishing this prospect – whether they admit it or not.
Of course, Milan will do everything they possibly can to stop their city rivals from wrapping up the title this evening.
That may only be delaying the inevitable. But there would still be some sense of vindication for the Rossoneri players if they can at least prevent Inter from making history under their noses.
Moreover, the derby is always a match with drama, and in which the form book goes out the window.
Nevertheless, former Inter midfielder Berti has a feeling that this will be the Nerazzurri’s night.
Berti Confident: Inter Will Clinch Serie A Title Vs AC Milan
Former Nerazzurri midfielder Berti declared that “This evening, we’ll win the derby.”
“And with it, the Scudetto and the second start.” Inter will win their twentieth Serie A title whenever they clinch this season’s. That will enable them to put a second start on their chests.
“How can I be so sure of this?” Berti continued. “Because on Tuesday, I want to be the one driving the parade bus for the title celebrations in the streets of Milan!”
“I said it, and I’ll repeat it for anyone who didn’t understand,” Berti underlined.
“Tonight, we sew the second star on our shirts after the final whistle!”
And Berti also gave a joking prediction for the final scoreline of the derby.
“7-0!” he declared. “And I’ll be driving the parade bus for the title celebrations!”
