Former Inter Milan and Torino defender Fabio Galante feels that Alessandro Buongiorno would be ready for a move to the Nerazzurri.

Galante gave his thoughts on the 24-year-old, who is reportedly an Inter target, in an interview published in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908.

This summer, Torino defender Buongiorno will certainly be one of the hot names on the market in Serie A.

The Italian international has been one of the outstanding defenders in the Italian top flight this season.

Moreover, Buongiorno’s age also makes the player an obvious targets for the big clubs.

Buongiorno could very easily play for a decade at the level he currently is.

Therefore, it is not too surprising to see the likes of Inter, AC Milan, and Juventus keen on the 24-year-old’s signature.

Fabio Galante: Alessandro Buongiorno “Ready For Inter Move”

Buongiorno had already been on the radar of Serie A side Atalanta last summer.

The Italian resisted La Dea’s interest to stay at Torino. However, he may not be far away from a summer move.

“He’s proven himself to be a top player,” said Galante of Buongiorno.

“He’s already ready to join a big club.”

“It’s no coincidence that he’s been linked with the biggest clubs in Europe,” Galante said. “This could be his last season at Torino.”

“He did well to say no to Atalanta last summer, based on the love of the Granata shirt.”

“But also because he didn’t feel that he was yet ready to leave the club that he came through the youth ranks at.”

“I don’t think he can make the same choice this summer,” Galante argued.

“I don’t think he’d have any trouble at Inter,” he added. “If I were to go to the Nerazzurri, I hope that he could take my old number five shirt.”

“He would be a massive reinforcement for Inzaghi,” Galante argued.
