Inter Milan are considering moves for Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee or Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson, but may have to make a big sale to afford them.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908.

Inter are beginning to firm up their transfer strategy for this summer.

And according to Sky, there are three major pillars at the heart of it.

One is that the Nerazzurri want to sign a goalkeeper. And Sky anticipate that Athletico Paranaense keeper Bento is the player who they will go all-in to sign.

Inter see Bento as the ideal long-term successor to Yann Sommer in goal.

Then, Inter also want to sign a defender.

There are quite a few names on the Nerazzurri’s list. But the priority will be to sign a player who is relatively young.

Inter are keen to sign a player with a similar profile to Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij, who are both now well into their thirties.

The Nerazzurri want someone who can gradually ease into the team, and then be able to inherit a starting role from the two veteran defenders.

Inter Keen On Zirkzee & Gudmundsson – But May Need To Make Big Sale First

Lastly, Sky reports, a signing is likely in attack.

Mehdi Taremi is already coming in from Porto.

However, with Alexis Sanchez set to leave, and Marko Arnautovic also no guarantee to stay, the Nerazzurri want to sign another striker.

And there are two names who would be at the top of Inter’s list.

Bologna’s Zirkzee and Genoa’s Gudmundsson have been two of the outstanding forwards in Serie A this season.

But that means that neither would come cheap.

Therefore, Sky anticipate, a big sale would likely have to come before Inter can sign either of Zirkzee or Gudmundsson.

The first priority is likely to be a move for Bento, the broadcaster anticipates.,
