Simone Inzaghi has no intention of leaving Inter Milan amid interest from Premier League clubs like Liverpool.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giornale, via FCInter1908.

Inzaghi’s work with Inter over the last twelve months means that a lot of Europe’s biggest clubs have taken notice of the former Lazio coach.

Inter reached the Champions League final last season. There, they went toe-to-toe with Manchester City, though they ultimately lost 1-0.

Then this season, Inter have been the dominant force in Serie A.

The Nerazzurri clinched the title with five matches to go. They have won 28 matches, drawn five, and lost just one in the league.

Inter have scored the most goals and conceded the fewest in the Italian top flight.

Accordingly, with a number of clubs looking for coaches, Inzaghi is certainly a name of interest.

Simone Inzaghi Has No Intention Of Leaving Inter Amid Liverpool Interest

According to Il Giornale, one club to show an interest in Inzaghi’s signature is Liverpool.

The Reds are changing coach in the summer. Juergen Klopp will step down after more than eight years at the helm.

Reportedly, Liverpool are on the verge of making the appointment of Feyenoord’s Arne Slot official.

Meanwhile, there were also strong links to Sporting CP coach Ruben Amorim.

But according to Il Giornale, Liverpool also made inquiries about the availability of Inzaghi.

However, these were firmly rebuffed. Inter would have no intention of losing their coach this summer.

And Inzaghi does not want to go anywhere.

The Nerazzurri coach feels that he still has work to do.

Inzaghi will sign a new contract in the next few weeks. Then, the 48-year-old wants to build on this successful season.

According to Il Giornale, Inzaghi’s priority is to keep the existing squad together rather than make any big signings.
