Man United are ready to join AC Milan, Juventus, and AC Milan in the race to sign Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Zirkzee is certain to be one of the hottest names in the summer transfer window in Serie A.

And it is not hard to understand why.

Zirkzee has been in hugely impressive form all season. He has scored twelve goals and made four assists in the league.

The former Bayern Munich striker’s form has been key to Bologna’s surprise push for Champions League football.

Zirkzee has scored twelve goals and assisted a further four in the league this season.

That has led to the sense that Bologna will not be able to hang on to Zirkzee.

But the next destination for the 22-year-old has been less clear.

Man United Join AC Milan, Juventus & Inter In The Race For Joshua Zirkzee

As the Corriere note, there is no shortage of interest in Zirkzee’s signature from the biggest clubs in Italian football.

Both Milan and Juventus are keen to keep the 22-year-old former Bayern Munich striker in Serie A.

And then, Inter are also admirers. Nerazzurri Vice-President Javier Zanetti has admitted as much.

The big stumbling block for these clubs, and in particular Inter, would be the price tag.

Bologna are likely to hold out for somewhere in the region of 65-70 million if they are to let go of Zirkzee this summer.

And there could be even more competition to spark a bidding war.

The Corriere report that Premier League giants Manchester United also consider Zirkzee a target.

For the Red Devils, however, the challenge could be luring the Dutchman in without the promise of European football for next season.

Nevertheless, one more suitor will only raise the price tag for Zirkzee.
