Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi would be happy to keep Emil Audero beyond the current campaign, while Bento remains on the club’s shortlist.

The Nerazzurri revamped the whole goalkeeping department last summer following the departures of Andre Onana and Samir Handanovic.

Yann Sommer became the new Number One. Audero arrived to act as his understudy.

According to FcInterNews, the Italian custodian has won Inzaghi’s esteem for the way he interpreted his backup role.

The coach has been pleased with the 28-year-old’s displays, and also the way he handles himself in the locker room.

Inter signed the goalkeeper on loan from Sampdoria while also having the option to buy him for 7 million euros.

However, the Nerazzurri management isn’t willing to splash this figure.

Therefore, the new Serie A champions will be looking to strike a new agreement with the Blucerchiati.

Inter will be seeking a new loan for next season, or perhaps a discount.

But if they can’t find an accord with the Ligurians, the Beneamata could turn to Bento who remains their favorite option.

Inter Milan Coach Simone Inzaghi Wants To Keep Emil Audero While Bento Remains On The Cards

The Brazil international is reportedly in favor of the move. However, reaching an agreement with Athletico Paranaense might not be an easy task, especially amidst the growing interest in the 24-year-old.

Hence, the source believes that Bento isn’t the only name on Inter’s shortlist.

As for Audero, the report expects him to remain in Serie A even if a stay at Appiano Gentile doesn’t materialize.

In case Sampdoria fail to secure promotion to the top flight, he could join Torino or Como. The latter club is on the cusp of finishing second in the Serie B. They only need to best Venezia’s result in the final league fixture.

Both clubs have reportedly inquired about his availability recently.
