Inter Milan have reportedly named their price for Denzel Dumfries who has emerged as a transfer target to Man United.

While the Nerazzurri will be looking to maintain their core for next season, the Dutchman could be the exception.

This is due to the 28-year-old’s complicated contract situation.

Dumfries’ current deal will expire in 2025, and there is still no sign of an extension on the horizon.

The two parties held talks in recent months. The management offered the player a yearly net salary of 4 million euros, similar to fellow wingback Federico Dimarco.

However, the former PSV Eindhoven star shot highly, requesting 5 million euros, a figure that would double his current salary.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, the player has slightly lowered his demands, but there hasn’t been any breakthrough in the negotiations just yet.

Therefore, the Italian champions will be looking to cash in on the Netherlands international this summer to avoid the risk of losing him for free a year later.

The Nerazzurri are reportedly asking for 20 million euros to part ways with the right wingback.

For their part, Manchester United have recently inquired about the Dutchman, according to several sources.

So it remains to be seen if the Red Devils would be willing to splash this figure on Dumfries.

The 28-year-old has been plying his trade at Appiano Gentile since 2021. He arrived as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi who joined PSG at the time.

This season, Dumfries has thus far contributed with three goals and six assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.

The wingback started his campaign on a positive note, but then lost his starting berth to Matteo Darmian after suffering an injury in December.
