Inter Milan fans are driving huge demands for tickets to the Nerazzurri’s final home match of the season against Lazio.

Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, note that “three San Siros” would be needed to accommodate the demands for Sunday’s Serie A clash.

Inter’s season is winding down, with two more matches to go.

The Nerazzurri will sign off with an away match, against relegation-battlers Hellas Verona.

Therefore, the last match in front of their own fans at the San Siro will come this weekend for Inter.

The Nerazzurri host Lazio on Sunday evening.

Beyond the match itself, Sunday will be a big occasion because Inter are the champions of Serie A.

The trophy presentation in the Italian top flight always comes in the final home fixture of the season for the title-winners.

Therefore, Inter will receive their trophy after Sunday’s match against Lazio.

Inter Milan Fans Could Fill “Three San Siros” In Serie A Clash Vs Lazio

After Sunday’s match there will be the official trophy presentation. Inter’s players will be able to finally get their hands on the actual physical trophy.

That will give Lautaro Martinez the first time to lift the trophy as Inter captain.

Then, there will also be appearances by a number of legendary former Inter players.

These will include players from the legendary “Grande Inter” side of the 1960s, as well as players from the squad that won the iconic European Treble during the 2009-10 season.

Finally, there will be a concert featuring Italian pop star Ligabue.

And the demand from Inter fans is naturally high to join in the festivities.

The Gazzetta report that the demand for tickets to Sunday’s match “could fill three San Siros.”

But alas, there will just be a capacity crowd of approximately 75,000.
