Inter Milan reached 86 goals in Serie A for the season with their 5-0 win over Frosinone.

The Nerazzurri had failed to find the back of the net for the first time in the league this campaign in their previous match against Sassuolo.

But Simone Inzaghi’s players got back to scoring in emphatic fashion against Frosinone.

Midfielder Davide Frattesi opened the scoring. Then there were four more goals from four different scorers. Marko Arnautovic, Tajon Buchanan, Marcus Thuram, and Lautaro Martinez.

Football statistics account Opta highlighted how historically impressive this is in a tweet.

They tweeted, “Marko #Arnautović scored Inter‘s 83rd goal in this #SerieA campaign: the last season in which the Nerazzurri scored more goals within the first 36 matches played in the Italian top-flight was in 1950/51 (101 in that case – 83 goals also in 1951/52). Unstoppable.”</
